Sarah J. Löcker- Interdisciplinary Fine Artist and Illustrator
Based in Graz, Austria, Sarah J. Löcker is an interdisciplinary artist specialising in realism in its various forms. Utilising a variety of mediums and techniques from classical oil painting, impressionistic acrylics, graphite and ink, and pastels, to more delicate anatomical, zoological, and botanical illustrations in watercolour, she is known for her highly detailed work.
She has exhibited in the greater Graz areas where she also leads a number of in person workshops and courses for adults, students, and children and has a high return rate for her often fully booked courses. The majority of her work can be found in private collections both in Austria and internationally. She is the founder of Urban Sketchers Graz, a group of creatives who meet weekly to draw and paint on location in the city center, which she leads since 2018. As an employee of the Lehrstuhl für makroskopische und klinische Anatomie at the Med Uni Graz she is involved in the production of illustrations for internal and collaborative use, as well as several museal and outreach projekts, including the creation and handling of the departmental social media presence and a certain amount of event photography.
