The name of the castle of Frauheim was mentioned in the historical sources for the first time in the year 1302. At this time it was a manor, which was expanded at the beginning of the 16th century and became a fortress. The site consists of a rectangular building with three mighty towers and inner arcades. The building is assumed to be erected by the Counts of Rindsmaul.
1685 Johann Casper Baron of Kellersperg bought the land and property of Frauheim, which is up to now still belonging to this family.
